What is DeFi and how Radix will improve it

What is DeFi and how Radix will improve it

Decentralized finance (DeFi) has been the latest buzzword in the crypto industry for some time now, and is growing steadily.
DeFi is financial instruments in the form of services and applications built on the blockchain. The main task of decentralized finance is to become an alternative to the banking sector and replace the traditional technologies of the current financial system with open source protocols. That is, open access to decentralized lending and new investment platforms for a large number of people. And let them receive passive income from crypto assets, as well as save on fees for transfers, loans and deposits.
The argument for decentralized finance (DeFi) has been made even more pressing by allegations of misuse of funds against a centrally controlled cryptocurrency.
Noting the high potential of DeFi, the Radix team is currently working hard on its DeFi solution that will take DeFi technology to the next level.
DeFi advantages and disadvantages
Despite the fact that the decentralized application sector is just developing, there are already quite a few benefits. The main thing is that any user can get one or another financial service, for example, lending, bypassing the bank. Decentralized landing protocols minimize risks and open access to borrowed funds 24/7. New products are especially relevant for borrowers from countries with expensive bank loans.
The procedure for creating your own digital asset and its introduction to the market has become noticeably easier and has become available to almost everyone. Payment processing does not last for several days, but a maximum of a couple of hours, interest rates and commissions have become much lower. Also, users have new ways to make money on cryptocurrency.
For developers, the simplicity of creating applications becomes a clear advantage due to transparency and open source, in addition, projects in the decentralized finance sector can be developed on any platform that interacts with smart contracts.
Of course, DeFi is not without its drawbacks:
  1. Since most DeFi projects are built on the Ethereum platform, they are not very suitable for high-frequency trading as they are limited in terms of scalability.
  2. Due to sharp jumps in the load on the Ethereum network, transaction fees can rise sharply, making high-frequency trading less affordable.
  3. Poor security. There is a known case of a project called Bancor that used to rely on an authorization contract type to handle ERC20. However, there was an error in the contract that allowed the contract to transfer tokens from the user's wallet to any address specified by the hacker after the user was authorized, resulting in the loss of nearly $ 100,000.
  4. Not friendly to developers.
How will Radix make Defi better?
The radix team is currently working hard to offer the best DeFi platform, addressing the above DeFi disadvantages on the Ethereum platform and offering:
1.Better safety:
Reducing the number of hacks, exploits and failures of smart contract applications. This became possible thanks to The Radix form of smart contracts, Components.
2. Build DeFi dApps faster
This is made possible by the Component Catalog. This technology is a register of already released components Components in the Catalog are like inactive templates or blueprints that anyone may use to create multiple active Components patterned after the original in the Catalog. It will make application development much easier and faster
3. Development of a decentralized developer community
The best platform Defi requires a strong developer community. Therefore Radix offers the Developer Royalty System program. The essence of this program is that developers can set royalties for using the components they create. Royalty payments are based on the actual utility that the Component brings to the network.
4. Unlimited scalability.
Radix uses build technologies for unlimited scalability without compromising security, decentralization, or composability. This is made possible thanks to the unique Cerberus consensus algorithm developed by the Radix team. Cerberus is a new consensus algorithm designed specifically for large, diverse networks of simultaneous applications and transactions.
Unlimited scalability will make transaction fees cheap.
Summing up the above, we can conclude that DeFi technology is very promising and necessary. However, at the moment it is at an early stage of development and has a number of problems, including those related to the Ethereum network. Radix's DeFi solution aims to eliminate them and make DeFi technology better.

Had no idea this sub existed.

So, a little back story, I've been trading for about 10 years and wrote my own trading algorithm to cover me 24/7. I began creating my software (C.O.R.E.) circa 2013, now it trades for me but I want to take it to the next level.
I was just browsing Reddit and it dawned on me that there has to be other people out there who do algorithmic trading, I've tried IG, fackboob, and came to the conclusion that it's pathetic how uninterested people are in this art. To be fair, I'm only bringing in small gains but have wanted to turn my project into a business beyond my wallet. Have you guys dealt with this before?
As a kid I always wanted to be an inventor, and create crazy inventions, and I have to admit that I was drawn for a while into the "perpetual motion" design back in 2006 - 2008, needless to say; all attempts were futile.
Some time around 2011 I got into trading through a friend who shared the same passion as myself in becoming self-employed, and wanted to learn the art of the trade.
And then I saw this video and the guy seemed to market it as a trading algorithm of sorts, and I wanted to apply it into crypto. Of course I did not really understand the equation in the video, so I came up with my own using basic math, along with some programming experience I worked on it and have been testing and analyzing real trades.
Thus far, I have:
Anyways, my faith is in you to point me in the right direction, any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

dxDAO aims to power DeFi protocols through decentralized governance

I found this article on internet. It's repost of it to help educate people about all DXDao advantages:
These are positive and necessary steps for DeFi. The new governance structures are intended to help coordinate across community stakeholders and make better decisions. These dynamics are influenced by the issues covered in Dose of DeFi, but I believe they deserve their own focused analysis.
Govern This aims to educate token holders and make them better voters. Emphasis will be placed on specific governance proposals and relaying community governance discussions on forums and weekly calls.
Governance is a coordination technology that has helped countries and companies build more than the sum of their parts. Blockchains are also a coordination technology, but for computers, not humans***.*** Govern This will track the development of the melding of these two over the coming years.
Like governance, Govern This is a work in progress. I would appreciate any feedback on format, topics covered or any other suggestions to make the newsletter better. Just hit reply.

Thanks for reading,

dxDAO aims to power DeFi protocols through decentralized governance
Gnosis launched a long-awaited DEX last week with batched auctions for low-liquidity trade pairs. The front-end, Mesa.Eth.Link is owned and operated by dxDAO, a decentralized collective that hopes to power other DeFi protocols.
While dYdX does not have any specific governance plans (yet), this tweet from dYdX founder Antonio Juliano is a common approach to governance.
📷Antonio Juliano @AntonioMJuliano3) 0x should focus less on governance in the short term. It’s way more important to first build something with a large amount of adoption that’s worth governing
December 6th 2018

The tweet at the end of 2018 was in response to 0x and its native token, ZRX. The project was popular but the token had no use case outside of governance.
This governance strategy – build now, decentralize later – is widely accepted in the space and is perhaps best exemplified by the A16Z’s Jesse Walden’s post, “Progressive Decentralization: A Playbook for Building Crypto Applications”, which the A16Z-backed Compound has essentially implemented (more in the section below).
dxDAO, on the other hand, maintains that decentralization must come at the beginning or else the core team and investors will have an outsized influence on the project in formal (token voting) or informal ways (dictators for life).
Background
dxDAO was launched in May 2019, spun out of a collaboration between Gnosis and DAOstack over managing the DutchX platform. dxDAO’s key governance design is separating financial rights to the DAO (DXD) from voting power over the DAO (Reputation). It used an Edgeware-style lock drop to distribute reputation to stakeholders in May of last year. Any user could lock up ETH or an accepted ERC-20 for a month and receive Reputation, which are voting rights in dxDAO, even though it is not a token and cannot be transferred.
Over 400 unique Ethereum addresses participated in the distribution scheme. Gnosis went through a pretty extensive process in July 2019 to “step back” from its involvement in the DAO, and since then, the community and dxDAO have aligned behind a mission of “putting the ‘De’ in Decentralized Finance”.
Following on last week’s launch of Mesa.ETH.Link, dxDAO is conducting a fundraiser or (“DAICO”?) to help fund its new slate of DeFi products, including a prediction market platform (Omen) and a privacy-centric DeFi dashboard (Mix).
Project launch is typically when a project is most centralized. Execution is hard and direction and accountability are important. dxDAO’s approach will be an interesting counterexample to the “decentralize later” trend and may provide insight into new governance strategies.
Click here for more information about the dxDAO fundraiser.
Here’s what is on the dxDAO docket this week:
Compound governance goes live, has it found Market-Protocol-Fit?
Since its founding in 2017, Compound has executed with an almost flawless record: no bugs/hacks, a major protocol upgrade and a big name fundraise (twice).
But all of that has been because Compound, the company, has executed well, but can protocol development and the growth of the platform be sustained with community management? We shall see.
Compound’s governance system could not be simpler. Anyone with at least 1% of COMP can submit a proposal of executable code. COMP holders have a 3 day voting period; the proposal passes with a majority of token votes AND a 4% quorum of all COMP tokens.
The 1% minimum for proposal submission is a good anti-Sybil mechanism but it greatly limits participation by small users. There is delegation, so you could imagine a “proposal petition” where you would delegate your COMP to a proposal instead of signing your name.
Compound is clearly taking the “less governance is the best governance” approach. This has worked surprisingly well with Bitcoin and Ethereum, which of course, do not have any formal governance, but those communities clearly have informal governance systems that make decisions.
The biggest governance question for Compound: who is the community?
Market-Protocol-Fit
Other Internet has an intriguing essay on the emergent order from new blockchain tokens and their communities. It is worth a read. It discusses the emergent iteration that blockchains – as a technology and a community – go through to find a niche, both in culture and product.
While it focuses on base-layer blockchains that launch with a token, the essay underscores the most underrated governance element: token distribution. It quotes an insightful tweet from Eric Wall
📷Eric Wall @ercwlA question that keeps me up at night: Is it possible to create a rubbish coin based on advanced bullshit, build a community of misguided fans nevertheless, run it centralized for 5 yrs, hardfork-copy the design of a real working project, keep the community and become a success?
keysheet @keysheet
@ErcWll was one of the first vocal critics of IOTA back in 2017, shortly before the project hit a market cap of $15B. https://t.co/2267e8LEpl Today, the project is down 99% and appears to be brutally falling apart. A thread:

Before Bitcoin could harden its code and find ‘Digital Gold’ and before Ethereum found ‘DeFi’ and ships ETH2.0, both needed to find a “a strong community of believers” in order to create a “virtuous cycle between headless brands and infrastructural build-out to progressively realize [their] initial promise.”
Communities are connected through a wide spread token distribution, Bitcoin through cypherpunks and online drugs and Ethereum through a global ICO (what Teo Leibowitz called “The Immaculate ICO”).
$COMP distribution
The biggest “news” has been details about $COMP distribution:
There are no explicit plans yet, but the widely held assumption is that the COMP distribution will be determined by the interest earned and paid by users on the protocol since its inception. This is a clever way that only incentivizes more use of the protocol and is hard to game because interests accrues over time.
But the question still remains, what will the COMP community look like and what values will it espouse? Can emergent cultures arise out of Silicon Valley too?
Here’s what is on the Compound docket this week:
Maker and wBTC, a test case for the MIP process
While Maker had planned to spend Q2 moving forward with their upgraded governance process, most of its focus has been on restoring the Dai peg.
For more on how the Maker governance process has expanded outside the core community, check out the previous edition of Govern This.
Here’s what is on the Maker docket this week:
Governance and Risk meeting (April 23)
Single Collateral Dai shutdown – the process has begun. A poll passed with May 12 as the official SCD shutdown. Just yesterday, an executive just passed yesterday to make the MKR oracle fee-less, which will help with migration. Many in the community think the migration of debt from SCD will do more than enough to restore the peg.
13 MIPs and 2 sub proposals – Core to the new Maker governance process is the “Maker Improvement Proposals (MIPs), which are modeled off of BIPs (for Bitcoin) and EIPs (for Ethereum). The two sub-proposals are to appoint the Smart Contracts Team and assign Charles St. Louis as the MIP editor.
The 13 MIPs are listed below:
- MIP1 (Maker Governance Paradigms)- MIP2 (Launch Period)- MIP3 (Governance Cycle)- MIP4 (MIP Amendment and Removal Process)- MIP5 (Emergency Voting System)- MIP6 (Collateral Onboarding Form/Forum Template)- MIP7 (Onboarding and Offboarding Domain Teams for Collateral Onboarding)- MIP8 (Domain Greenlight)- MIP9 (Community Greenlight)- MIP10 (Oracle Management)- MIP11 (Collateral Onboarding General Risk Model Management)- MIP12 (Collateral and Risk Parameter Management)
By and large, the MIPs codify many of the informal Maker governance processes. There is currently a request for comments period (MIP forum) and there will be an informal poll on Monday, April 27 on whether to proceed with the 13 MIPs and 2 sub proposals. If it’s a “Yes”, than an executive for an official ratification vote would start on May 1 and lasts for 4 days. If it passes, the official governance cycle will begin and the rest of the MIPs will likely be approved from May 4 – 6.
Other Governing Things
That’s it! Feedback definitely appreciated. Just hit reply. Written in Brooklyn where it rained all day. No euchre today, but yesterday was epic.

We are the paper-clip maximizer: observations on idealism

Wherein I attempt to convince you that the better angels of our nature are iterations of Patrick Bateman.
I grew up in Eastern Europe. My family was pretty well off: after the Iron Curtain fell in 1989, my father got a Fulbright scholarship at Stanford. He returned with dollars and, more importantly, American connections.
My people, perpetually more interested in acerbic word play than doing anything constructive, are fond of the following bon mot: are idei putine, dar fixe. It translates to something like, "he's a man of ideas that are few, but fixated."
This template of inverted expectation (instead of insult-but-compliment, insult-but-insult) captures the soul of Balkan cynicism beautifully, and the phrase describes my father to a tee. He had the bedrock conviction of a religious man, expanded by the confidence of two doctorates. A sampling of his beliefs, routinely proselytized among his single-digit aged kids:
The Internet will define the future. Jews are the smartest people, ever. Anything comfortable aligning itself with the label socialism kills the soul. Reagan is a mix of Superman and the Pope. Assorted musings on said themes.
If ever there's a market for an Eastern-Euro flavored All In the Family, I've got things to pitch to the writers.
As befitting a pre-schooler, I was pretty whatever about les idees fixes de mon pere at the time and instead played Spectre and messed around with ClarisWorks on the PowerBook 100 he brought back from the land of plenty.
Exposure plus inertia equals three quarters of belief, so about a decade & a half later, after benefiting from a lottery both literal as well as figurative, I found myself circa early aughts, enthusiastically--albeit unconsciously--ticking off my father's boxes:
  • The Internet will define the future: holler atcho boy with the second set of Warglaives on the server, what's up
  • Jews are the smartest: Einstein & Rothbard, hell yeah
  • Anything comfortable aligning itself with the label socialism kills the soul: the Shahaadah of Eastern Euros, double hell yeah
  • Reagan is a mix of Superman and the Pope: A contrarian attending the People's Republic of U.C. Berkeley, what do you think?
And so I internalized the litanies littered across the only lot I could reasonably inhabit on the political compass: that remote, much-memed-on mountain top called libertarianism.
Thankfully enough, I avoided the ditch of Ayn Rand worship. I'm stupid but not stupid enough to fall for anybody who's that bad of a writer[1]. I painted well within the Hayek lines of respectability instead, eschewing gold-buggism, doom-prepping or the crass embarrassment of formal Libertarian politicking while nursing a chip of feral anti-collectivism on my shoulder.
It worked. Ish.
Then, at first slowly--then, rapidly--it didn't.
Axiomatic assumptions about America's place in and influence around the world (remember: I grew up with people who thought Radio Free Europe was basically the burning bush) were the first to go. I went into the Iraqi war with full "save them from Saddam!" gusto, and one of my snarky descriptions of Berkeley campus anti-war fervor got linked to by Andrew Sullivan, then one of the patron saints of the pro-incursion nomenklatura. The ensuing decade-long debacle disabused me of several elaborate fictions.
2008 torpedoed several comfort blankets[2] about markets always being right and deregulation always being good. Most of the damage got patched up with elaborate circumlocutions: manipulated markets aren't real markets, ratings agencies are an elaborate shell game, nominal outcomes are impossible when Clintonite-birthed obscenities distort risk.
But Agent K's admonition, Carlin's line for the ages and a slow drip of behavioral economics all began registering. Maximizing everybody's freedom started sounding less and less like a good idea, much less ethical imperative.
I was lucky enough to meander through Denmark, Belgium, Sweden. No democratic-socialist commissars demanded my papers.
I got mind-fucked several times by Crichton[3]. The Lizardman Constant upset me. Moldbug's Nosferatu-like meditations rattled my cage. Even more dangerously, instead of stopping at 1984 and Animal Farm, I expanded my exposure to Orwell: Road to Wigam Pier, Homage to Catalonia. Goddamn socialist, that one.
Through the last few years, my time online revealed an Internet unlike playful territory of experimentation that I experienced as a teenager. Monetization and mass psychosis rue the day.
TFW I realize that various idealistic impulses (America land of the free! Liberty for all! Communism bad!) lined me up behind objectively, measurably, conclusively Wrong Things.
At times, Bad Things.
Contrary to what you might imagine right about now o'clock, I don't consider myself an interesting topic. The expansive autobiographical detour had to preface what's next, or else it would've read (too) accusatory and obnoxious.
I had to show work: me first.
I fucked up.
If a socialist professor from Toronto U & full-on Objectivist both deploy the same unlikely phrase, one might wonder what, exactly, predatory altruism means.
I yield the floor to Thiel Capital's managing director:
When powerful people use their advantage to engage in new involuntary transfers of wealth, safety or freedom from those too weak to defend themselves, the winners are almost always forced to create a type of idealism as a cover for their syphoning.
In simpler terms: these idealisms are cover stories or bespoke fig leaves which almost exactly fit the extraction or taking that they're tailored to mask. Once this is understood, we realize that to test this theory, each wave of idealism would have to be matched to a highly specific effective confession for an injustice that pervaded the era in which it was found. (...)
(The idealism of U.S. competitiveness in the 80s and early to mid 90s) wasn't really about the need of managers, owners and workers to pull together through shared austerity to re-invigorate American industry. It was a false idealism that instructed American labor to give up hard-won gains that were not matched by comparable sacrifices from the other groups.
Once U.S. labor had been sufficiently humbled and attenuated (...) the drumbeat of patriotic competitiveness gave way to the post-national Davos idealism of a world without borders signing the praises of financial inclusion, trade, immigration and philantropy. The purpose of the post-national movement wasn't to include those overseas but instead to allow the wealthy of the industrialized world to break bonds with their fellow citizens of the working class and access cheaper labor abroad using far-flung supply chains.
In Extremely Online parlance, this is called, I believe, a black pill.
You might be compelled to observe that for a self-professed snake-bitten Eastern Euro harboring Iron Curtain obsessions, I'm parroting awfully Marxist-sound lines. Ok, let me dig myself into a deeper hole:
Second and third wave feminism were championed in popular culture because they radically expanded labor markets, leading to decades of wage stagnation and massively increased the purchasing power of those who control most economic consumption.
Intersectional orthodoxies have reached the power and reach they have now largely because they've been systematically championed as a cheap alternative to labor-based politics.
Environmentalism has been deployed as sword and shield for entrenched rent seeking, literal and figurative, excusing rapacious NIMBYism and boxing entire generations into a corner where starting a family or building generational wealth have a risk profile similar to betting everything on red.
And so on.
You get the gist of it[4].
This is neither a chronicle of nor a plea for Going Full Kropotnik: the last thing I'm after is convincing somebody to change their leopard spots.
I'm pointing out that we have a nearly universal diagnostic: "social unrest about legitimate issues has been co-opted, hollowed and weaponized out by opportunistic bad actors." It applies to Build the Wall, #believewomen, the role of national and local government when responding to health crises, BLM, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
An optimizing, pro-social function of being human seems to have gone haywire.
THESIS: The scale of contemporary societies and tech accelerationism have created a situation where the sheer rate of New, compounded by how powerful the New is, have permanently tilted the scales in the favor of societal defectors.
Those who have the means and inclination to co-opt, hollow-out and weaponize cooperation.
You're welcome to expurgate your dissatisfaction with the above by calling it Kaczsynski With More Steps. One must take refuge & shelter in the small pleasures of life, such as summary dismissal of apocalyptic online ramblings.
ANTI-THESIS: We're living through the Reformation Wars, and it's up to each and every one of us to carve out, in whatever small way we can, a path to the Peace of Westphalia.
We're fucked, now and forever, at an increasing rate, OR:
We're fucked and the only way out is to dig through corpses and broken shards of idealism while nursing paranoid suspicions, especially about those who shout loudest about their willingness to help digging.
I don't know what the latter looks like. Something along the lines of "have exit plans ready" for communities that matter (theMotte) and Actually Matter (your family.) Something like, delete your Twitter accounts. Invest in functional, proven crypto. Get a haircut and a meal to a homeless person who needs them.
Godspeed.
[1] You're welcome to disagree and be wrong about this.

[3] With something between terror and smug self-satisfaction, I note that finding these essays via one of my Official Outgroups, large search engines, takes a substantial amount of effort.
[4] I realize that these are Large Claims with zero evidence to support them. Perhaps each paragraph merits 5,000 word treatments, but there are limits to my throughput and, more to the point, reader attention span.

Percentage Based Crypto Portfolio Template

Dear Crypto friends!
Every few months I mention on Reddit how I use a percentage based portfolio management strategy and that I believe it is the "right" way to manage your portfolio. When this comes up I mention the google sheets document I've created over the past three years to organize, view, and react to my portfolio. Every time somebody asks me to share this document, but doing so takes a lot of effort and I've been too lazy. Well last night it happened again and this morning I finally wasn't too lazy. So without further ado here is a way too long post about how I view finances and why I believe you should try to adapt my strategy to fit your needs.
*First things first, I am not a financial advisor, I am an internet bozo that you have never met. Don't invest more than you're willing to lose, do your own research, not your keys not your coin, feel free to comment more cliches and I can add them here.*
I adhere to the belief that the very first step to proper financial management as an adult is to create a monthly budget for your life. I have used mint for years as a way to track my spending and help me figure out what a realistic monthly budget for my lifestyle is. Once I feel good that my monthly budget is accurate I put 3 months worth of my budget in my traditional credit union savings account, 1 months worth in my traditional checking account and then I direct deposit my paycheck into a third traditional savings account. I then place 3 more months of my budget into a high interest DeFi account. Now I want to pause here because everyone comes from very different financial backgrounds. We all hear "Don't invest more than you're willing to lose" but nobody likes to define this. Regardless of how you feel about USD stability (if you're in this community it's probably because you don't trust fiat) most "experts" believe you're first financial priority as an adult is accumulating a 6 month emergency fund. We live in crazy times and if the past 3 months didn't convince you that an emergency fund is necessary I don't know what to say. I understand that even if you have a minuscule $2,000 a month budget(good luck getting a studio apartment in NYC?) my strategy requires $14,000 before you even start investing in crypto. That is way more than most people actually have and I completely empathize if you are unwilling or feel unable to wait until you have that. If you absolutely can't wait that long, I hope you at least start building towards your emergency fund using a high interest DeFi account (I recommend Nexo, Blockfi or DefiSaver). I am not a financial advisor!
Now that I have my bank accounts set up, it is time to invest in my favorite cryptocurrencies. Everyone has their own rules (DYOR!) my rule is, I only invest in coins I use. So for example I feel the C20 token is extremely interesting and I have thought about buying some, however it is an index fund not something I can spend, so at this time I'm not investing in it. I also feel EOS/Steller and some other chains are also really interesting, but same issue, I don't actually use them. What do I use? Personally I regularly spend USD(no shocker there), BTC (I've recently gotten into using the lightning network using the FOLD app), ETH(God's Unchained is better than Hearthstone, fight me!), BCH (Purse has been great!), Nexo, BNB, and Dash. Ok I don't actually spend Dash. Eventually I think I'm going to switch Dash to Monero, but either way I feel holding a privacy coin during extreme civil unrest is reasonable.
I'm definitely not here to say one coin is better than another and that my choices are correct. If you want to tell me how much of an idiot I am for using the lightning network or that spending bcash is a scam feel free to do so in the comments, just know that I don't care and I wont read them. DYOR!!
Once you have the coins you would like to hold I believe you should set a target % that you want each coin to take of your total portfolio. You can do this by saying everything is equal at 10% or as I do where each coin has it's own target percentage based on how I feel about them. DYOR!!! If the roller coaster meme gets posted and your actual percentage held goes from 10% to 15% using my strategy you would sell off that 5% and distribute it to a coin that hasn't skyrocketed(yet!). Conditional formatting in the document triggers a Green fill when a coin passes 103% of it's target % and a Red fill triggers when a coin drops below 96% of it's target %.
That's it, that's my strategy. When the market goes up I trade for some USDC and when it goes down I spend that USDC to accumulate units for the next bull run. It is very simple, but forces you to not care about fancy technical analysis or dollar averaging. Just buy when the market tells you to buy and sell when it tells you to sell. At the end of each day I click the "History" tab, copy the days data and "paste values only(Ctrl+Shift+V)" on the bottom row. When my paycheck comes in I top off my checking account to a full months budget then look to see how much my sheet recommends sending from my traditional bank account to my DeFi savings account.

Those of you who are interested I'm attaching a link to my google sheet. It is going to be able to be viewed but not edited so you will need to duplicate it to your own account to use yourself. I have added lots of tiny notes to explain different sections and help you learn how to interact with the data. One issue that may arise is if you try to copy paste the sheet. When pasting formulas, if you go to copy and paste and are only getting values click "view > show formulas" then copy paste. You wont get my many notes and pretty formatting but it's a start. Another issue is with adding the "CRYPTOFINANCE()" script. For instructions and more information. Hopefully you'll be able to duplicate this document without issue, but if not let me know and I'll do my best to troubleshoot. I'm really proud of this document and have put a lot of time and effort into it the past 3 years, so please be kind in your criticisms but by all means give me advice on ways I can improve it more.
Percentage Based Crypto Portfolio Template

I hope you found this interesting and useful,
Sincerely,
Clark Kent

Edit: One tidbit that I forgot to touch on but that is absolutely necessary to share. The cyptofinance() data pull method isn't perfect. It is not unreasonable for the prices it shares to be 20 minutes delayed. For this reason you should only use the document as a guide. Double check that the price of the coin it is telling to sell is still close to what the document believes it is.

RiB Newsletter #14 – Are We Smart (Contract) Yet?

We’re seeing a bunch of interesting Rust blockchain and crypto projects, so this month the “Interesting Things” section is loaded up with news, papers, and project links.
This month, Elrond, appeared on our radar with the launch of their mainnet. Although not written in Rust, it runs Rust smart contracts on its Arwen WASM VM, which itself is based on the Rust Wasmer VM. Along with NEAR, Nervos, and Enigma (and probably others), this continues an encouraging trend of blockchains enabling smart contracts in Rust. See the “Interesting Things” section for examples of Elrond’s Rust contracts.
Rust continues to be popular for research into zero-knowledge proofs, with Microsoft releasing Spartan, a zk-SNARK system without trusted setup.
In RiB news, we published a late one-year anniversary blog post. It has some reflection on the changes to, and growth of, RiB over the last year.
The Awesome Blockchain Rust project, which is maintained by Sun under the rust-in-blockchain GitHub org, has received a stream of updates recently, and is now published as the Awesome-RiB page on rustinblockchain.org.
It’s a pretty good resource for finding blockchain-related Rust projects, with links to many of the more prominent and mature projects noted in the RiB newsletter. It could use more eyes on it though.

Project Spotlight

Each month we like to shine a light on a notable Rust blockchain project. This month that project is…
ethers.rs
ethers.rs is an Ethereum & Celo library and wallet implementation, implemented as a port of the ethers.js library to Rust.
Ethereum client programming is usually done in JavaScript with either web3.js or ethers.js, with ethers.js being the newer of the two. These clients communicate to an Ethereum node, typically via JSON-RPC (or, when in the browser, via an “injected” client provider that follows EIP-1193, like MetaMask).
ethers.rs then provides a strongly-typed alternative for writing software that interacts with the Ethereum network.
As of now it is only suited for non-browser use cases, but if you prefer hacking in Rust to JavaScript, as some of us surely do, it is worth looking into for your next Ethereum project.
The author of ethers.rs, Georgios Konstantopoulos, accepts donations to sponsor their work.
Note that there is also a Rust alternative to web3.js, rust-web3.

I built a crypto trading bot powered by telegram - signally.co

Hi all,
I'm a lurker here. A while back I posted a roulette game I made. I also started making a podcasting app but dropped it to pursue this project which I thought would be an easier build - it didn't turn out that way.
The TL;DR. I have built a telegram crypto trading bot called signally.co which takes 'signals' from telegram channels and turns them into automated trades. The trading advice is in a format similar to below.
"Buy BTC 9700/9800,Target1 $10,000Target2 $10,000"
Some more detail
The telegram bot uses the telethon library, and sits in its own docker, with access to a 'crud' layer which interfaces with SQLALCHEMY database - also dockerized. The web app was originally written in Flask but I switched to Fast API so I could learn docker and pickup a couple of other things. Fast API seems really excellent - however the way it works is focused on reactive/modern front ends, with API calls for everything. In the end, I actually just wrote it to use Jinja templates in the response, like Flask, which is fine but I'm not getting the most out of the framework.
Jinja2 is amazing but I wish it did more stuff client side (I'm hesistant to start learning proper javascript, though I have used a sprinkling of vanilla JS here)
The bot/workflow
The way it works is - you add a telegram bot to your telegram channel, which then listens out for a trading signal using REGEX.
When it detects a signal, it creates_or_gets a new channel in the database - this is your 'signally channel' -it grabs as much info from telegram as it can to create the channel. It then creates_or_gets a user for each admin in the telegram channel who are now able to manage the channel at signally.co.
It parses the signal, sends it to the database, and attaches it to the signally channel at signally.co/channel/this_link_wont_work
From here, a user can login via telegram and everything is ready. They can 'follow' that channel on signally.co. When they do so, they can either paper trade, or 'live trade' the signals posted there. If they live trade, they are prompted to integrate Binance. After which they set a budget to use for the entire website. From THIS budget, they can assign budget to individual channels and control a couple of other things.
Once setup its done, every time the telegram channel posts a signal, its parsed, posted, and all users following it at signally.co trade that signal.
It was a lot of work to get this done and I now realise how much is involved in web/app dev. I actually don't know what to do next as I've been coding it, breaking it, fixing it for months. I'm half inclined to drop it and consider it a decent learning exercise. If anyone's interested in it or wants to hear more, let me know!

11:10 a.m.–11:45 a.m. Keynote: Controlled origin of news at ANSA Italy (Associated Press National Agency)

Introduction by Giuseppe Perrone, EY Featuring Stefano De Alessandri, ANSA Italy https://www.ansa.it/
Misinformation has been around forever. Social media algorithms, new technologies and advertising systems created a dangerous mix for spreading fake news.

12:00 p.m.–12:45 p.m. Stablecoins: The next-generation crypto asset

By Anna Gosine and Jeffrey Davis, EY
Learn about the current and projected future ecosystem for the stablecoin, including approaches to building and issuing it, investing in it, and transacting with it.

1:00 p.m.–1:45 p.m. Rise of the Custodians

Moderated by Dave Middleton, EY, with panelists Paul MacIntosh, EY; Jared Shaw, Gemini; and Nathan McCauley, Anchorage
Storage and security services for digital assets have become a primary market demand. There are some significant hurdles to operating a custody business including the technology underpinning the custody and security of digital assets, but also, as importantly, the related internal controls, risk and regulatory compliance framework that has to underpin a custody business.

2:00 p.m.–2:45 p.m. Managing the origin of goods to apply duties and tariffs: EY OpsChain Global Trade (Origin) – A deep-dive into the newest EY tax focus area around global trade

By Todd Smith, Dennis Post and Frank Putman, EY
The global trade origin blockchain solution allows importers and exporters to assert the country of origin of goods on a shared, distributed ledger. Parties in the network can look down the chain of suppliers to collect enough evidence to claim free trade agreement benefits or avoid punitive tariffs. Using the solution significantly reduces the risk of invalid claims and penalties, as smart contracts verify if rules of origin are adhered to at every stage during the production process.

[DD] Ultra vs. Enjin

EVERY FUCKING POST I read here, in it’s almost certain that I will see an Ultra shill in the comments. It’s an Enjin clone on EOS.
Disclaimer: I hold both coins and don’t give a shit what happens to them they are both low cap, super volatile shit coins. Maybe one will take off?? However, I’m not a big fan of EOS at all so my opinion may be skewed.
Quick background into BC gaming for those whose whomst are retarded.
Here’s the difference between how games work now vs. utilizing blockchain tech:
Gaming Now (2020): Jack plays Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in CoD; Jack can buy CoD Points with Fiat and use those CoD points to buy stupid shit to make his guns shiny. Despite the fact that Jack has paid for these items, Jack doesn’t own them, the points he bought, or anything at all. At the end of the day Activision is still fucking him.
Blockchain Gaming (Near Future): Jak plays Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on his Facebook X-Station Switch, Jak can buy CoD Credits (CC) with crypto currency. In this case Jak purchases (CC) with ETH. Jak now owns what ever amount of (CC) he bought with ETH; it’s locked away in a wallet and he can even exchange (CC) for for other crypto and even USD (Using Uniswap or whatever). Jak uses his (CC) to buy some bullshit skin. Jak now owns that bullshit skin and can sell it on a DEX for more ETH. At the end of the day, Jak can personally profit from playing Call of Duty and has physical ownership of the in game assets he owns.
What makes a blockchain gaming token worth something?
Ultra Overview: Ultra is a new blockchain gaming company built on a fork of the EOS.IO blockchain. Unlike, EOS core; The Ultra fork will have some key differentiators such as: Free accounts, Free transactions, Few BPs. No voting, Tokenization of games as well as in game items.
Enjin Overview: Enjin is a digital platform based on Ethereum network for creating centralized applications in the game field. With Enjin Coin (ERC20 token standard), developers can not only create virtual game products but also implement them. Key features include: Compatibility with Ethereum dapps, ability to create guild pages, Enjin explorer, wallet, and marketplace; Enjin ERC-1155 token standard, and more.
Biggest difference between the two
Enjin is focused on creating and empowering a new generation of games and studios. Enjin is on Ethereum
Ultra is focused on bringing current games into the blockchain and working with AAA studios. Ultra is on EOS.
Arguments for Ultra Agaisnt Enjin: Ultra is in many ways more ambitious of a project than Enjin. It’s going upmarket and aimed to take on the problems with gaming starting with fixing how games are distributed. Ultra in one sense of another wants to be Steam. They want to be THE platform for AAA and indie studios to come to in order to efficiently add decentralization to their platforms with little dev cost. Their fork of EOS, cuts out majority of the bullshit and while keeping the high tps. This can prove to be a significant edge over Enjin since the ETH network is much slower and more expensive than the EOS network. Furthermore, if implemented properly Dgoods (EOS NFTs) have a potential to steal the market share from Ethereum.
Arguments Against Ultra: Despite, being a modified fork of EOS. Ultra still runs on EOS. EOS is no longer in it’s hey day and EOS has some serious flaws and in terms of market share get absolutely cuckolded by Ethereum. Despite the Ultra white paper, marketing, and other bullshit, whoring out their corporate sponsees. Enjin and Ethereum have a MASSIVE head start in blockchain gaming. I’m fact there is own studio and three games that come close to reaching the level of adoption that ETH dapps have. Enjin is 10 steps ahead of Ultra. Enjin has games that can be played, partnerships with major companies that have products that consumers can use, multiple successful capital raises, and Enjin is worth much more.
The biggest problem with Ultra is the biggest success with Enjin. N-eff-fucking-tees... NFTS ARE IMPORTANT FOR dgames. Both project need to have an ability to token digital assets and successfully financialize in game economies. Ethereum, is fucking created the idea that this can be a thing. The most leg work, games, devs, money, and investors are flocking to Ethereum based games not because they inherently love ETH over EOS but Ethereum has established itself as the NFT and token operability leader. EOS devs are still deciding on what to call EOS NFTs. The proposed dGoods are decent since they will be semi-fungible however there are many technical problems with them compared to Ethereum NFTs. Notably, standard consensus and operability. Enjin 1155 tokens are similar to ERC-721 token.
Here’s how the Enjin CTO describes them:
Our new ERC-1155 Crypto Items standard allows for infinite numbers of fungible and non-fungible items in a single deployed contract. We needed it to be lightweight and easy for the network to handle. If this does take off, the gaming industry alone will require tens of millions of new items–but the application of this standard is by no means limited to the games market. ERC-1155 tokens could be used to certify all forms of ownership, tangible or digital.”
If the Ethereum community decides to adopt a signal token standard for NFT’s and if that’s the 1155 standard then Ultra is going to be in trouble since Enjin has already accomplished many of the problems Ultra will need to tackle just to be in an even playing field. Not only does Enjin have a robust token standard, they have a functional marketplace, block explorer, and wallet.
That’s why Ultra is focused on bagging whales because there only shot at success is whoring out AAA titles and trying to corner the market by taking over the means of distribution. Moreover, many people say ohhh Ubisoft likes Ultra. Ubisoft and many of Ultras partners are involved with many projects across many Blockchains. Hell Ubisoft was apart of the Ethereum Alliance at one point. They are a massive company who reckonizes that the landscape will change so they are hedging their bets across the ecosystem.
Overall, Ultra can beat Enjin if they get their shit together and find a way to unite the EOS dev community. However, mid term Enjin is a much more mature platform with actual adoption. Who knows what will happen?

Hello newbie! Today, I will write some introduction about HYIP, this is the first article on my blog, it’s basic knowledge, anyone has joined some HYIP or investment program online will know about HYIP, but I want to leave this article to you — Beginner.
I hope this article will helpful have some basic knowledge about HYIP industry to win and get receive profit, let start and make money online with HYIP.

What is HYIP?

A high-yield investment program, also known as HYIP, which covers all programs, offline and online, that are used to invest money to receive a higher yield than you would normally get at a bank, from 5% to as much as 250% per month making it the top investment program. HYIPs accept investments that are as small as 10 USD and claims that they can provide high interest rates.
To generate a high return, HYIPs often involve investors’ money put into high-risk ventures, such as day-trading stocks or bonds, or sports betting. A Bitcoin HYIP can work the same, except with Bitcoin or another crypto as the investment currency

How do HIYPs work?

Starting off with an HYIP online is simple, since all you have to do is register with them and then deposit some money into your HYIP account using the payment processor that they outline. The profits are paid out to the same processor to streamline the process.
All transactions of HYIPs are done over the internet.
HYIPs use E- Currency in their transactions because it offers the most convenient payment system. E- Currency suits best HYIPs because it has a feature that allows easy withdrawal of money making it a good option for completing online transactions. Moreover, E- Currency is accepted all over the globe. Another factor that addresses the need of HYIP investors.

What do HYIPs do to make a profit?

The main sources of incomes in HYIP Programs are:
However, very few HYIP projects use Investor’s money to use real business as I listed above. Instead, they use the latter’s money to pay the previous person (Ponzi model), using funds to pay for marketing activities to expand the popularity of the project, attracting participants.
If you want to grow your HYIP business online then you need the most trustworthy HYIP website first. And the best quality HYIP template can give the real taste. (Month1) My First Steps in Amazon Affiliate

Hey guys,
How i joined JustStart
I discovered this sub about 1 month ago. A colleague shared a link to a topic in it. I can't share it because this may deanonymize me. I had a very pleasant dopamine injection straight to my veins after reading the RealBaum's post.
It may sound strange but I had a feeling that it was me earning that money! lol
My background.
This will help you understand my fervor.
I know, it may sound hilarious that I started thinking about Amazon affiliate only now, but I'm 6+ years working as in-house SEO. And I can say that I'm successful at this. I've been working at the same company in a super dense niche during last 5 years. My traffic helped them earn low seven figures in profit.
...I always thought that adsense and amazon affiliate pays peanuts.
And now I discovered that it's a thing that can help me skip 9to5!
And I know about SEO more than about anything else!
And it can help me earn more than my current salary! (~3000usd/month)
My credo never was Consumor aliis inserviendo. I just was lazy to consistently do good things to my own projects.
I have only two projects that are still maintained and give me some profits: high-end private PBN service and YouTube channel.
YouTube channel has 2M+ views per month and makes 300$ from YouTube's native advertisement.
Guys, your posts motivated me to create my first niche site!
It will be on the same topic with YT and then somehow I want to make them support each other. I mean YouTube would promote site, site would promote YouTube and I'd have 1+1=3. (BTW if you have relevant experience, advice or articles - please share!)
I made a decision to create Amazon site one day after I found JustStart.
About niche
  1. 95% of products are relatively cheap - like 5-20 bucks, 5% of products cost 200-300 bucks, but these don't have any search demand
  2. there are many keywords with good traffic and relatively low comp (I analyze opportunities by clicks instead of search volume)
  3. there're competitors who already became authority sites in that niche; they have DR70-80, ton of exposure and ton of content

What was done this month
  1. Found 3 writers: one who writer amazing pieces and two mediocre ones.
  2. Collected the keywords and sorted them 'easy-wins-first'
  3. Created SOP's for writers and outlines for 12 articles
  4. 9 Articles are written already (average size is 3k words) - 27K words
  5. Found a WP coder who is able to create a buying guide template i want. This was the most difficult task, guys! Most of coders couldn't organise a fart in a baked bean factory! First coder said he's sure that can handle this, then he did a shitty version of what I wanted and asked me to pay 'as much as I can'. Then I chatted with about 20 coders from Fiverr, Upwork and candidates from my country and nobody was sure how to do it! OMG! And then I found an adequate professional with solid experience. He did a lot of mistakes but finally I have this template! Why I did not start with a free theme? A free theme looks ugly and working with it won't make me happy.
  6. Signed up With Amazon associates. But I haven't added tax info and payment info yet. I'm from eastern Europe and don't know - why should I add tax info? What are legal consequences of filling this info? Maybe a noob question, but please help!
Spendings:
  1. Articles: 1150 usd
  2. Coding: 250 usd
  3. Domain: 22.16 usd / year
  4. Hosting: 120 / year
Results:
  1. 0 clicks (I haven't published anything yet)
  2. 0 bucks
Plans for the next month:
I'm planning to finish theme setup. I already assigned a coder to do a homepage template and then I'll assign him category pages. Only when I have all these pages done, I'll start publishing the content.
Why? I believe that there's a magic love from the first sight by Google.
I want Google to scan a perfectly optimized site with clean code and structure and tons of in-depth content. While page layouts are prepared I keep assigning writers new tasks and create draft buying guides.
BTW it takes almost two hours to properly format one buying guide: to add images, to format lists, headings, add affiliate links, add internal links, etc, etc :0. Do you also spend so much time to format the posts?
  1. Finish WordPress setup
  2. Run a technical seo audit
  3. Do technical fixes
  4. Write at least 10 more posts
  5. Publish the content (at least 10 posts)
  6. Serve the site on plate for Google
TL;DR
I loved this sub, created my own site, spent 1542, earned 0.
P.S. Sorry if this post is lengthy and not too interesting. If you have any comments or questions - you're welcome! Also if you know how to make YT and site work in synergy or what's TAX info in Amazon Associates used for - please, let me know!

4.2 How to implement strategic trading in JavaScript language

4.2 How to implement strategic trading in JavaScript language

Summary

In the previous article, we introduced the fundamental knowledge that when using JavaScript to write a program, including the basic grammar and materials. In this article, we will use it with some common strategy modules and technical indicators to achieve a viable intraday quantitative trading strategy.

Strategy introduction

The Bollinger Band is one of the most commonly used technical indicators, invented by John Bollinger in the 1980s. In theory, prices always fluctuate around a certain range of values. The Bollinger Band is based on this theoretical basis and introduces the concept of “price channel”.
The calculation method is to use the statistical principle, first calculate the "standard deviation" of the price for a period of time, and then add or subtract 2 times the standard deviation of the moving average to find the "trusted interval" of the price. The basic type is a strip channel consisting of three rail lines (middle rail, upper rail, lower rail). The middle rail is the average price, and the upper rail and the lower rail represent the pressure line and the support line of the price, respectively. As shown below:

https://preview.redd.it/feu3g3m65ct41.png?width=1543&format=png&auto=webp&s=9679a94e45dbeeddc71541d103453d00dfc39fd7
Due to the concept of standard deviation, the width of the Bollinger Band is dynamically adjusted based on recent price fluctuations. When the fluctuations are small, the Bollinger Bands will be narrower; otherwise the fluctuations will be larger and the Bollinger Bands will be wider. When the BOLL channel is changing from narrow to wide, the price gradually returns to the mean. When the BOLL channel is changing from wide to narrow, it means that the market price starts to change. If the price up cross the upper-rail, it means that the buying power is enhanced. If the price goes down cross the lower-rail, it indicates that the selling power is enhanced.

Bollinger Band Indicator Calculation Method

Among all the technical indicators, the Bollinger Band calculation method is one of the most complicated, which introduces the concept of standard deviation in statistics, involving the middle trajectory ( MB ), the upper trajectory ( UP ) and the lower trajectory ( DN ) calculation. Its calculation method is as follows:
  • Middle rail = simple moving average of N time period
  • Upper rail = middle rail + standard deviation of the K × N time period
  • Lower rail = middle rail − standard deviation of the K × N time period

function main( ) { // program entry while (true) { // enter the loop exchange.SetContactType('this_week'); // set contact type var records = exchange.GetRecods(); // get the k line array var boll = TA.B0LL(records, 50); // get the 50-cycle BOLL indicator array var top = boll[0]; // get the upper-rail BOLL indicator array var ma = boll[l]; // get the middle-rail BOLL indicator array var bottom = boll[2]; // get the lower-rail BOLL indicator array Log(top); // print the upper-rail BOLL indicator array to the log Log(ma); // print the middle-rail BOLL indicator array to the log Log(bottom);// print the lower-rail BOLL indicator array to the log } }

Strategy logic

The Bollinger Bands are used in a variety of ways and can be used alone or in combination with other indicators. In this section of the tutorial we will use it the easiest way, which is : When the price breaks through the upper rail, open long position; when the price breaks through the lower rail, open short position.

https://preview.redd.it/moby4ejb5ct41.png?width=1543&format=png&auto=webp&s=3320a08fb69e5b000a6461af27b5d73988e5d063
If the price is again returned to the middle-rail of the Bollinger Band after opening the long position, we believe that the strength of the buying power is weakening, or the strength of the selling power is strengthening, therefore, this is where the closing position signal comes in. the same logic for short position.

Trading conditions

  • Long position open: If there is no position, and the closing price is greater than the upper rail.
  • Short position: If there is no position, and the closing price is lower than the lower rail.
  • Close Long position: If holding long position, and the closing price is less than the middle rail,
  • Close Short position: If holding short position, and the closing price is greater than the middle rail,

Strategy code implementation

To achieve the strategy, first we need to consider what data do we need? through which API to get? Then how to calculate trading logic? Finally, which way to place the order? let's implement it step by step:

Step 1: Use the CTA Strategy Framework

The so-called CTA Strategy framework is a set of standard frameworks that the FMZ Quant officially designed. By using this framework, you can ignore the trivial programming problem and focus directly on the logic of programming. For example, if you don't use this framework, you will need to consider shifting the order price, order type, withdrawing orders and so on.
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { // write your strategy here }) }
The above is the CTA strategy framework using the FMZ Quant tool. It is a fixed code format, and all trading logic code is starting from line 3. In addition to the need to modify the variety code in use, no other changes are required elsewhere.
Note that the above trading variety code is "this_week" meaning it represents using the weekly k-line, trading data using the weekly data.

Step 2: Get all kinds of data

Think about it, what kinds of data do we need? From our strategy trading logic, we first need to obtain the current position status, and then compare the closing price with the Bollinger Band indicator upper, middle and lower rails.
  • Get K line data
The first is to get the K-line data array and the previous K-line closing price, with the K-line array, we can calculate the Bollinger Band indicator. it can be written like this:
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price }) }
As shown above:
Line 4 : Get the K line array, which is a fixed format.
Line 5 : Filter the length of the K line, because the parameter for calculating the Bollinger Band indicator is 20, when the K line is less than 20, it is impossible to calculate the Bollinger Band indicator. So here we need to filter the length of the K line. If the K line is less than 20 , it will return directly and continue to wait for the next K line.
Line 6 : From the obtained K-line array, first obtain the object of the previous K-line, and then obtain the closing price from this object. Obtaining the penultimate element in this array, which is the length of this array minus 2(r[r.length - 2]).
The K-line array elements are all objects, the object contains the opening, highest, lowest and closing price; also the trading volume and time.
For example, to get the closing price, just add " . " follow by the attribute name (r[r.length - 2].Close).
  • Get K line time data
Because this is an intraday strategy, we need to close all position before some certain time(most crypto trading exchanges usually open 24/7), so we must judge whether the current K line is close to that certain time when we what to stop trading or take a break. If it is near that closing time K line, close all position. If it is not, continue the strategy. The code is written like this:
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price var time = new Date(r[r.length - 1].Time); // according the current k-line timestamp, create a time object var isClose = time.getHours() == 14 && time.getMinutes() == 45; // judging whether the current k-line is 14:45. this is just a example, you can specify any time you want during the 24 hours }) }
As shown above:
Line 8: get the K line timestamp attribute objects and then create a time object(new Date (timestamp)).
Line 9: Calculate the hours and minutes according to the time object, and determine if the time of the current K line is 14:45 .
  • Get position data
Position information is a very important condition in the quantitative trading strategy. When the trading conditions are established, it is necessary to judge whether to place an order by the position status and the number of positions. For example, when the conditions for opening long positions are established, if there are holding position, do not place order; if there are no position holding, place the order. like this:
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price var time = new Date(r[r.length - 1].Time); // according the current k-line timestamp, create a time object var isClose = time.getHours() == 14 && time.getMinutes() == 45; // judging whether the current k-line is 14:45. this is just a example, you can specify any time you want during the 24 hours var mp = st.position.amount; // get the holding position information }) }
As shown above:
Line 11: Get the current position status. If there are long position, the value is 1; if there are short position, the value is -1; if there are no position, the value is 0.
  • Get Bollinger Band data
Next we need to calculate the values of the upper, middle and lower rails of the Bollinger Band indicator. we need to get the Boolean array first, and then get the values of the upper, middle, and lower rails from this array. In the FMZ quant tool, it is very simple to get the Boolean array, just call the Bollinger Band API directly, it is a two-dimensional array.
it is easy to understand the two-dimensional array, which is the array in a array. The order to obtain the value is: first obtain the specified array in the array, and then obtain the specified element from the specified array, as shown below:
var arr = [[100, 200, 300],[10,20,30],[1,2,3]]; // this is a two-dimensional array var test = arr[0]; //first obtain the specified array in the array and assign the value to variable "test" var demo1 = test[0]; //then get a value from the test array demo1; // the result is : 100 var demo2 = arr[0][0]; // you also can write like this demo2; // the result is the same : 100
Below, from 13th to 19th lines are getting the Bollinger Band upper, middle and lower rail coding part, Wherein the line 13 is used the FMZ Quant API tool, which can accessing the Bollinger band array directly; line 14 to line 16 are obtaining the two-dimensional array respectively for the upper, middle and lower rail array; line 17 to line 19 are getting the specify value from the upper, middle, and lower rail array.
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price var time = new Date(r[r.length - 1].Time); // according the current k-line timestamp, create a time object var isClose = time.getHours() == 14 && time.getMinutes() == 45; // judging whether the current k-line is 14:45. this is just a example, you can specify any time you want during the 24 hours var mp = st.position.amount; // get the holding position information var boll = TA.BOLL(r, 20, 2); //calucating the Bollinger Band indicator var upLine = boll[0]; // get the up-rail array var midLine = boll[1]; // get the middle-rail array var downLine = boll[2]; // get the lower-rail array var upPrice = upLine[upLine.length - 2]; // get the previous K-line upper rail value var midPrice = midLine[midLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line middle rail value var downPrice = downLine[downLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line lower rail value }) }

Step 3: placing order and trade

With the above data, we can write the trading logic and placing order part now. It is also very simple, the most commonly used is the "if statement", which can be described as: if condition 1 and condition 2 are true, place the order; if condition 3 or condition 4 is are true, place the order. As shown below:
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price var time = new Date(r[r.length - 1].Time); // according the current k-line timestamp, create a time object var isClose = time.getHours() == 14 && time.getMinutes() == 45; // judging whether the current k-line is 14:45. this is just a example, you can specify any time you want during the 24 hours var mp = st.position.amount; // get the holding position information var boll = TA.BOLL(r, 20, 2); //calucating the Bollinger Band indicator var upLine = boll[0]; // get the up-rail array var midLine = boll[1]; // get the middle-rail array var downLine = boll[2]; // get the lower-rail array var upPrice = upLine[upLine.length - 2]; // get the previous K-line upper rail value var midPrice = midLine[midLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line middle rail value var downPrice = downLine[downLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line lower rail value if (mp == 1 && (close < midPrice || isClose)) return -1; // if holding long position, and the closing price is less than the mid-rail, or the current time is 14:45, closing long position. if (mp == -1 && (close > midPrice || isClose)) return 1; // if holding short position, and the closing price is greater than the mid-rail, or the current time is 14:45, closing short position. if (mp == 0 && close > upPrice && !isClose) return 1; // if there are no holding position, and the closing price is greater than the upper-rail, or the current time is not 14:45, open long position. if (mp == 0 && close < downPrice && !isClose) return -1;// if there are no holding position, and the closing price is less than the lower-rail, or the current time is not 14:45, open short position. }) }
In the above figure, lines 21 to 24 are the trading logic and placing order coding part. From top to bottom they are: closing long position, closing short position, open long position and open short position.
Take the open long position as an example. This is an "if statement". If only one line of code is executed in this statement, the curly braces " {} " can be omitted. The statement is translated into text meaning: if the current position is 0 and the closing price is greater than the upper rail, and the k-line time is not 14:45, then " return 1 "
you may find that these lines have " return 1 " and " return -1 ", which is a fixed format, meaning: if it is the buying direction, write " return 1 "; if it is the selling direction, write " return -1 ". opening long position and closing short position are all buying direction, so write "return 1"; and vice versa.

Complete Strategy code

At this point, a complete strategy code is written. If the trading framework, trading data, trading logic and placing order are written separately, it is very simple? The following is the entire code of this strategy:
function main() { $.CTA("this_week", function(st) { var r = st.records; // get the k line data if (r.length < 20) return; // filter the length of k line data var close = r[r.length - 2].Close; // get the previous k line closing price var time = new Date(r[r.length - 1].Time); // according the current k-line timestamp, create a time object var isClose = time.getHours() == 14 && time.getMinutes() == 45; // judging whether the current k-line is 14:45. this is just a example, you can specify any time you want during the 24 hours var mp = st.position.amount; // get the holding position information var boll = TA.BOLL(r, 20, 2); //calucating the Bollinger Band indicator var upLine = boll[0]; // get the up-rail array var midLine = boll[1]; // get the middle-rail array var downLine = boll[2]; // get the lower-rail array var upPrice = upLine[upLine.length - 2]; // get the previous K-line upper rail value var midPrice = midLine[midLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line middle rail value var downPrice = downLine[downLine.length -2]; // get the previous K-line lower rail value if (mp == 1 && (close < midPrice || isClose)) return -1; // if holding long position, and the closing price is less than the mid-rail, or the current time is 14:45, closing long position. if (mp == -1 && (close > midPrice || isClose)) return 1; // if holding short position, and the closing price is greater than the mid-rail, or the current time is 14:45, closing short position. if (mp == 0 && close > upPrice && !isClose) return 1; // if there are no holding position, and the closing price is greater than the upper-rail, or the current time is not 14:45, open long position. if (mp == 0 && close < downPrice && !isClose) return -1;// if there are no holding position, and the closing price is less than the lower-rail, or the current time is not 14:45, open short position. }) }
There are two things need to be notice:
  1. Try to (but not necessarily) write the strategy logic as the current K-line condition is established, then placing the order on the next k-line. Or the previous k-line condition is established, placing orders on the current k-line, in this way, the result of the backtest and the real market performance are not much different. It is OK to not write like this, but pay attention to whether the strategy logic is correct.
  2. In general, the logic of closing position should write in front of the opening position logic. The purpose of this is to try to make the strategy logic meet your expectations. For example, if the strategy logic just meet the situation where it need to do the opposite direction of trading after just close a position, the rule of this kind of situation is to close the position first and then open the new position. If we write the closing position logic in front of the opening position logic, it will perfectly fullfil this rule.

To sum up

Above we have learned each step of developing a complete intraday quantitative trading strategy, including: strategy introduction, Bollinger indicator calculation method, strategy logic, trading conditions, strategy code implementation, etc. Through this strategy case, not only we familiar with the programming methods of the FMZ Quant tools, but also can build some other strategies that are adapted according to this template.
Quantitative trading strategy is nothing more than a summary of subjective trading experience or system. If we write down the experience or system used in subjective trading before writing the quantitative strategy, and then translate it into code one by one, you will find that the writing a quantitative strategy will be much easier.

Next section notice

In quantitative trading strategy development, if only can choose one programming language, without hesitation, it must be Python. From getting data to backtesting, even the placing order part, Python has covered the entire business chain. In the field of financial quantitative investment, Python has occupied an extremely important position, the next section of the course we will begin to learn the Python language.

This is a complete guide to DAOSquare, hopefully you can get a general idea of DAOSquare through it!

WTF is DAOSquare?

https://preview.redd.it/862acdsh44z41.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=d3140ef77346b243b2843843c822e2179abf315f
Until we discover more possibilities for DAOSquare, DAOSquare is of the following three forms.

🌏DAOSquare is a community

Life is not as good as we expect it to be, and I’m sure many of you feel that. The world today is like The Modern Age, we go about our day like crazy without knowing what we’re up to.

https://preview.redd.it/h2dgezwj44z41.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c5087dffbbbc61624ec26447ab093a0729cc7b3
We used to think we could change our lives and even the world. But we have to admit that we are just dust in the universe.
The Internet world has left little chance for those of us who are participants in the post-Internet era. Whether you’re a startup or an office worker, whether you’re a developer or an artist, or any other profession. However, the emerging crypto world has created plenty of opportunities and endless imagination for us.
We hope that DAOSquare can grow into a real community in the crypto world, just like MetaCartel, bringing together people from different fields all over the world. We welcome people who are lost, anxious, confused, unwilling to be ordinary; those who are enthusiastic, positive, fun, ingenious, dare to think, dare to act, to go to the crypto world together to find the opportunity to succeed, to accomplish what everyone wants to do but has not yet done.
  • Do what we love
  • Do what values
  • Do what we can obtain something fruitful
The community embodies a common interest or a common culture, or, a belief in the same values. Community also carries an energy of love in a material world that either ignores each other or eats away at each other.
Community allows us to support each other, make mutual achievements, and work together to do something valuable for our own future, and the future of our community.
Remember the story of the rice on a 64-square chessboard? DAOSquare and the rice on a 64-square chessboard

https://preview.redd.it/73apjxam44z41.png?width=1400&format=png&auto=webp&s=632ddf7cb196a9821233bcf5cb7c5bc967305514
Through it we hope to convey the notion that the power of the individual is small, but when people unite, it creates the Square effect, which becomes infinitely powerful, like 64 grains of rice, shocking the world. And in the process, Square is not only about the DAOSquare community, but also about everyone’s recognition², thinking², creativity².
That’s why we named DAOSquare’s Token RICE.
If you want to go fast, go alone;
If you want to go far, go together.
This is the aphorism of MetaCartel, which also belongs to DAOSquare because, well, DAOSquare is a chocolate lantern pepper cultivated in the MetaCartel pepper garden.

Check out the latest brand profile about DAOSquare!
We are taking MetaCartel’s spiritual culture to the east, to let more people know and join MetaCartel Universe, to spread MetaCartel Chili all over the world!

⭐️DAOSquare is a commercial startup project

It’s especially important that DAOSquare is commercially targeted.
Only commercial success can make the DAOSquare community sustainable and help every community member achieve a better life.
Only commercial success is likely to show hope to more commuters who don’t want to go to work, and to more entrepreneurs who have been turned away by angel investor.
Only commercial success will make it possible to get more people to join the DAO, launch the DAO, and thus accelerate the social outreach of the DAO and solve more social problems.
This is DAOSquare’s mission.
Currently, We are discussing DAOSquare’s commercial projects with community members, including DAO connector, art market, etc.
The difference with traditional companies, this commercial objective is driven by the DAOSquare community and its business outcomes will belong to each of the contributors involved (the distribution of benefits will be addressed in the Token Economic Model presentation).
Specific information about DAOSquare’s business plan can be found in our business plan.

☘️ DAOSquare is an incubator of achievement for everyone

In this regard, MetaCartel is still worth learning from, as the MetaCartel community has grown into one of the most vibrant communities in the Ethereum ecosystem and even the crypto world, while also helping a large number of community members achieve their business goals.
The rise of the personal brand means an awakening of personal awareness and values.
We’re glad to have seen a lot of cases (especially post-95s) of commuters giving up their corporate life to try freelancer or start a business, and more and more people are talking about the idea of ‘work for yourself, not for others’.
However, we still face the dilemma of resource-isolated island, and entrepreneurship is difficult in large part because we are on our own.
So we want to use the group advantage and resource network of the DAOSquare community to help and cultivate talented, capable and aspiring artists, entrepreneurs, and practitioners launch their personal brands and businesses, and support their growth by giving finance and resources.
Finally, we want everyone who joins the DAOSquare community to feel at ease and happy. Life makes having fun more and more extravagant, let’s have fun together!
Let’s have fun and do something worthwhile together!

https://preview.redd.it/1kzsr8rr44z41.png?width=260&format=png&auto=webp&s=587ddb18fe1439a6efd51b6f6b83ad9db6b41547

Panoramic map of DAOSquare

The DAOSquare community is based on an open, borderless ‘square (or continent)’, and the many DAOs that make up this ‘continent’. It looks like this.

https://preview.redd.it/p2zltndq94z41.png?width=1216&format=png&auto=webp&s=d09256f7728c92063c0d5a0e864547cbd792ccd0
The continent stands for “square” and DAO with various types and functions is like a wide variety of neighborhoods and residences. Anyone can freely enter and exit the square, subject to the basic DAOSquare conventions. But each DAO will have its own access criteria.
But at the moment DAOSquare is in the Genesis phase, so it seems like this.

https://preview.redd.it/jibzsvgh74z41.png?width=1400&format=png&auto=webp&s=9513810b7f590e18d94d62daae35f22aaa044688
It feels a bit like a ‘New World’ 🤣 This drive-in cinema is the first Genesis DAO on this continent: the DAOSquare Comunity DAO (DCD).
So, at this stage, DAOSquare’s map looks like this.

https://preview.redd.it/054p3jrx44z41.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5bf7c23d5f5a6da7c0e67c8d524ba69f93f96adf
DAOSquare Community DAO (DCD) is DAOSquare’s creator designer and building force. It is pooling its resources to build the infrastructure of the DAOSquare ecosystem so that more people land one after another, grow, thrive, and start their own DAO.
As such, the DAOSquare Community DAO is the building and governance unit of DAOSquare and the core driver of the DAOSquare community and business plan.
People are our raw energy, and we want to take full advantage of that.
People on the continent of DAOSquare are mainly composed of three basic characters: missionaries, mercenaries, and merchants.

🤖Missionaries

https://preview.redd.it/bss6afrz44z41.png?width=415&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9853d1e8e73af2de0620ea80b4fdaabc2f8e285
Missionaries are the people with the deepest faith. They deeply understand and identify with DAOSquare’s vision and values, and drive the realization of DAOSquare’s vision and values through their actions. Usually, members of the DCD fall into this category.

⚔️Mercenaries

https://preview.redd.it/evzjwnl154z41.png?width=416&format=png&auto=webp&s=5d0364fdf59c51fed1bf283324f03410f96ed6d1
We need to strike!
We need a stronger fight!
It is clear that missionary power alone is not enough for the success of DAOSquare, we need more and stronger forces to build and promote DAOSquare together.
They are good enough and experienced enough to accept the mechanisms by which DAOSquare operates and are happy to be involved in DAOSquare-related work, though they will be slightly weaker than missionaries in terms of vision and value identity and, perhaps, they are ranger to various communities.
Usually, community contributors fall into the mercenary role.

💱Merchants

https://preview.redd.it/wdzojsl354z41.png?width=416&format=png&auto=webp&s=e7853b73ecb0529490b7412728099832946b6bf1
Merchants, who often enter communities for profit, have likewise energized the DAOSquare ecology, driving DAOSquare on another level, are essential roles and a vital part of DAOSquare.
People who buy and trade RICE are typical of the merchant role.

Economic #RESET is a mathematical certainty. Do we RESET the global system of systems as is or will we re-engineer using NATO system of systems engineering standing on the shoulders of giants
IF / WHEN: Climate Change causes a drop in crop commodity food production by 20–25 % while population continues to grow, THEN it follows that this condition will become a matter of national security. It’s TIME to implement an Ecologically Sustainable Economic Heartbeat ELSE face > greater chaos by not leveraging proven system of system structured data exchange methods. An ecologically sustainable economic heartbeat is needed. Why wait until crisis, DEFCON 2 stage?
IF climate change causes a drop in crop commodity by 20–25 % while population grows, THEN this condition will become a matter of national security. THEN this will require revisiting Belgian Economist Bernard Lietaer’s TRC Trade Reference Currency ELSE face >socio economic chaos TERRA Trade Reference Currency by Economist Bernard Lietaer LINK http://lietaer.com/2010/01/terra/
Ecologically sustainable economic transactions need to be incentivized among the world’s Ecological and Economic system of systems. The world’s systems need to be time-space synchronized, stochastically harmonized across the one world, global UTZ Universal Time Zone via heartbeat messages using universally shared, standards based OPSCODE brevity codes drawn from a universal structured data exchange syntax lexicon with over 300 use case templates e.g., NATO’s lexicon library
System of Systems Engineering Framework: Crypto economics needs a universal syntax lexicon digital base Artificial Intelligence A.I., quantum blockchain heartbeat beacon to synchronize, sample tokenized commodities across a stochastically harmonized UTZ Universal Time Zone supporting an Earth Intelligence Network EIN. It is time to build a new economic system of systems framework.
All things internet, net of money blockchain cryptocurrencies are formed by unicast, multicast, anycast. Programmable money’s improvements are in cryptography. The term DAO Distributed Autonomous Organization was coined by the RAND Corporation circa 2000.
Nobel Prize winning Economist Milton Friedman’s K% rule is an “economic heartbeat”. K-Percent Rule DEFINITION: The K-Percent Rule proposal by economist Milton Friedman was the central bank should increase the money supply by a constant percentage every year. The K-Percent Rule proposes to set the money supply growth / reduction at a rate equal to the growth of real GDP each year. HEARTBEAT SCOP Administrative Interface as an Internet, net of Money configuration tool. SCOP is a tool that exemplifies how the internet really works. There are no levels, layers, packets, frames, bits, ether gas, hashgraphs, bytes motes, block chain blocks, pings, packets... There are only 1) epoch time intervals, 2) syntax used as if, then, else instructions. Time epoch time cycles used / not used to parse, process syntax as instructions are the only building blocks available to scale the blockchain. Blockchain scaling usually involves a discussion of “layers” when the reality is that parsing, processing syntax (OPSCODE brevity codes, shards, hashes) is passed from the genesis Epoch Time Cycle 1 to a temporal follow on epoch time cycle often involving geo-spatial, temporal separation.
Project Task: form federations of Distributed, Autonomous Organizations DAO communities, states, sovereign nations using an adaptive procedural template checklist promoting synchronization among geo-spatially and temporally dispersed groups using a common syntax – symbol set lexicon. Federated groups activities are synchronized geo-spatially across time - space to achieve synergy, synchronicity of events orchestrated from micro to macro cycles from grassroots to capitals. Heart Beacon Cycle Time – Space Meter: One method fits many not one size fits all
